March 24, 2021 / WEDDING
Luxmore Grande Estate, Winter Springs, FL | Angelika & Michael
How did you both meet?
We met online on Tinder.
How did your husband propose?
Michael proposed to me outside the Lightner Museum in St. Augustine. He said he was taking me to dinner but instead took me there and proposed.
What was your wedding inspiration? (think decor, overall theme and feel of the day, etc.)
Our wedding inspiration was to have a secret garden space.
What was your favorite design element of your wedding?
My favorite design element was the red roses. It popped against the dark green.
Describe some of your favorite wedding details and how you came up with them?
My favorite wedding detail was all the overgrown plants and flowers, I wanted it to feel like the world had ended but this little area over grew into a garden and survived.
What was the most memorable moment of your wedding day?
The most memorable moment was seeing Michael for the first time. I was really nervous the whole time and seeing him felt like I could breathe again.
Please describe your cake (if any):
Our cake had two layers. One had marble and cannoli filling, and the other one had vanilla with lemon custard inside.
Can you please list your vendors:
KV photography, Flowers by Leslie, Big City Catering, Adam Laura for videography, White Rose Entertainment for our DJ, and Kristy from Anna Christine events
Any advice for those planning their wedding now?
The advice I would give those getting married right now is don’t sweat the little things. The wedding is going to happen one way or another and it will be the happiest day of your life. It doesn’t matter if you have the wrong dress, or the flowers don’t look right.
What was your biggest surprise on your wedding day?
The biggest surprise was after the wedding. My parents paid for us to stay in this huge honeymoon suite at the Hyatt. It had a very large Roman bath and I love taking bubble baths. After the wedding my feet and head were killing me from my extensions and heels, and it was the perfect way to unwind.
What one moment will last with you both forever?
The moment that will last with us forever was when we were getting married, and I openly sobbed like a whale and couldn’t finish my vows.
What song did you walk down the aisle to?
I walked down the aisle to a Thousand Years by Vanessa Carlton.
What song played for your first dance?
Our first dance song was “Perfect” by Ed Sheeran but to be honest we were talking too much to listen to it while dancing.
What are you most looking forward to as a married couple?
There is so much that I look forward to with Michael but having kids is one! Traveling to different countries is another and getting old and senile together.
What did you like the most about working with KV Photography?
We loved working with KV photography because they were so funny and happy. You can just tell they love each other so much and it was really inspiring to see that while we were getting married.
