    How did you both meet?

We both met at Mann Middle School where we both taught 7th grade Civics.

 How did your husband propose?

Steve proposed at Bok Tower Gardens after my 24th birthday. We both love the gardens there and we were supposed to be going to my parents to have a small birthday party, but he surprised me by making a detour and right after the bell sang he proposed with an heirloom that has been in the family since the 1800’s (The brown and gold ring).

What was your wedding inspiration? (think decor, overall theme and feel of the day, etc)

The theme was to be romantic and elegant. I let The Event Source take over when it came to the design and we were not disappointed.

What was your favorite design element of your wedding?

The flowers were breathtaking.

Describe some of your favorite wedding details and how you came up with them.
I loved the color scheme. The light blue and champagne seemed timeless to me and I thought it suited the time of year and had that romantic feel without being too girly.

What was the most memorable moment of your wedding day?

The first look was by far my favorite part. Steve’s reaction was more than I could ever hoped for. He even said “I always thought you were beautiful, but at that moment…wow”.

Please describe your cake (if any):
Heaven. haha It was an almond cake with cream cheese frosting and fresh raspberries baked into it.

Any advice for those planning their wedding now?
Get all the big stuff out of the way as soon as possible. The less you have to worry about closer to the day, the better. Also, don’t let the small things bother you. Just roll with them.

What was your biggest surprise on your wedding day?
How seemingly perfect it went. We were told a lot of couple’s don’t truly get to enjoy their wedding, but I feel like we both had a great time

What one moment will last with you both forever?

Holding each other’s hands during the ceremony.

Which moment are you the most excited to see in photos?

All of them honestly, but I know Steve wants to see the garter toss :).

What song did you walk down the aisle to?

Ever After Main Title (a movie soundtrack).

What song played for your first dance?

Thinking Out Loud – Ed Sheeran.

What are you most looking forward to as a married couple?

Enjoying all of life’s little moments and looking back at how sweet everything has been.

What did you like the most about working with KV Photography?
How much fun you both were. We had a great time.
