How did you both meet?

Marcos and I went to high school together during all 4 years. We even had classes together. Our high school was small, so we knew who each other was, but never hung out. We reconnected through mutual friends a few years after graduation. Then, we became best friends and did everything together. After that everything was history! And now we have been together almost 8 years.

How did your husband propose?

He had his parents surprise us with gifting us plane tickets to Breckenridge, Colorado, because it was a location we always talked about visiting. When we went on the trip, I couldn’t believe how thoughtful of a gift it was from his parents to do that for us. He planned some of our family to meet up with us to go on a snowmobiling tour to the top of the Continental Divide. There was a tour guide, the 6 of us, and 2 other people in our group. The guide told us that the additional 2 ladies were there to take photography for the tour’s company to add to their marketing and website. When we got to the top of the Continental Divide, the photographers were taking a lot of pictures of us, and Marcos proposed!! I get teary eyed just writing this. It was all a part of his plan. He was the one that hired the photographers, and he got us the tickets and hotel and had his parents give them to us so I wouldn’t catch on to anything. It was magical!

What was your wedding inspiration? (think decor, overall theme and feel of the day, etc.)

Our wedding inspiration was romantic, natural, and classy.

What was your favorite design element of your wedding?

Everything! The candles and florals and overall romantic and moody vibe were probably my favorites.

Describe some of your favorite wedding details and how you came up with them?

I loved the little personal details that we added. A piece of my mom’s wedding veil that I attached to my bouquet. The something new, something old, something borrowed, something blue. Also, the picture clasps on my bouquet of my family members I have lost and Marcos’ boutonniere of his grandparents. A personal written handkerchief that I got for my dad.

What was the most memorable moment of your wedding day?

First, the notes that Marcos and I wrote to each other with our gifts. My first look with my dad. The speeches.

Please describe your cake (if any):

It was white with marble and gold accents with real florals.

Any advice for those planning their wedding now?

Start as soon as you can and try to enjoy the process. It goes by extremely fast, and you will miss it. Think about every single detail because to me they all mattered.

What one moment will last with you both forever?

Walking down the aisle.

What song did you walk down the aisle to?

Shania Twain From This Moment

What song played for your first dance?

Luke Combs Better Together

What are you most looking forward to as a married couple?

Creating new memories, having children, traveling, and growing old together.

What did you like the most about working with KV Photography?

Everything!! You both were absolutely amazing. Made us feel like we were friends and not just working together. You guys made us laugh and feel comfortable. It felt natural and that we knew each other. Helped in any ways you could. Offered advice and were patient with us. Funny and sweet! You can tell that you genuinely enjoy your work and care for the couples and families.
