How did you both meet?

We met at work in the hospital, I was doing a rotation at the hospital where Stephen was a junior faculty at. Then, 6 months later, when we weren’t working with each other anymore, we ran into each other at a restaurant where Stephen asked me out.

How did your husband propose?

Stephen had planned a surprise proposal on our 1-year anniversary. He proposed to me after dinner and then we headed to our first date spot where he had all our friends and family gathered at our first date spot. Even my brother and sister-in-law had come in from Portland without me knowing!

What was your wedding inspiration? (think decor, overall theme and feel of the day, etc.)

I always wanted something chic and elegant and luckily Stephen wanted the same.

What was your favorite design element of your wedding?

The floral arrangements and the set-up of elements in the bridal suite, our bridal party outfits/flowers, the venue (flowers, lighting,) and the church (beautiful altar), really, it’s very difficult!

Describe some of your favorite wedding details and how you came up with them?

Set up of the card/gift table, I had explored some of the inspirations out there on the internet (Pinterest, Etsy,) and I came up with the overall design that I thought would go with our theme and bought each element separately. Similar thing for my bouquet and the boutonnières, I send different pictures to my florist and told her how to combine those ideas to make my desired bouquet.

What was the most memorable moment of your wedding day?

Walking down the aisle.

Please describe your cake (if any):

The cake had 4 tiers. White almond with white-colored icing, one tier was surrounded by white pearl design, designed by white phalo orchids diagonally going down the tiers.

Any advice for those planning their wedding now?

Everything is going to work out at the end, so try to enjoy the process.

What was your biggest surprise on your wedding day?

My husband had a live painter at the reception, which I always loved to have, and he had given her the photo of my parents so she could paint them in the wedding since they couldn’t be there.

What one moment will last with you both forever?

Our First look and our first dance.

What song did you walk down the aisle to?

Canon D

What song played for your first dance?

And Brun – make you feel my love

What are you most looking forward to as a married couple?

Our adventure year in LA.

What did you like the most about working with KV Photography?

Such a lovely couple, we felt like we knew them for a while. They were so easy to work with and so attentive to the details. They really made us feel comfortable.
