How did you both meet?

Daniel and I met through our mutual friend, Victoria, who was my Maid of Honor.

How did your husband propose?

Daniel proposed in Vail, Colorado. It was a birthday trip for him, and he proposed in the snow, after his birthday dinner.

What was your wedding inspiration? (think decor, overall theme and feel of the day, etc.)

I aimed for elegance and wanted florals to be the main focal point of the day. With our venue, The Capen House, I knew greenery was our focal point. So, I focused on emerald greens, whites, and gold.

What was your favorite design element of your wedding?

Our greenery chandelier, by The Bluegrass Chic Wedding, was to die for! The entire tent sent up was such a dream.

Describe some of your favorite wedding details and how you came up with them?

I really enjoyed creating the look and adding the small touches. A few of my favorite details were the dinner table setup, the florals on the fireplace & greenery wall outside, greenery chandelier, the grape soda pins that Daniel & I both incorporated, and the guest sign in book.

What was the most memorable moment of your wedding day?

Seeing Daniel so overcome with love and emotion. It melted my heart to see him so comfortable with his feelings.

Please describe your cake (if any):

Our cake, done by 4 Rivers Bakery, was very simple, with a nude frosting look. We had two layers, both different flavors and fillings. Bluegrass Chic provided the greenery that went around the cake, and Valkery Donuts provided the donut holes.

Any advice for those planning their wedding now?

Everything you do, do it for the both of you. Don’t get lost in wanting to please your guests. Create the wedding of your dreams. This is your day, not theirs. They’re just lucky enough to experience the day with you! If you can swing a wedding planner, do it! I would have gone crazy without my wedding planner that day!

What was your biggest surprise on your wedding day?

We were both surprised by how incredible all our vendors were the day. Every one of them were so focused on keeping us fed, hydrated and happy. It was so heartwarming.

What one moment will last with you both forever?

Our Vows.

What song did you walk down the aisle to?

Here Comes the Sun, by The Beatles

What song played for your first dance?

Say You Won’t Let Go, by Boyce Avenue

What are you most looking forward to as a married couple?

We’ve been together for nearly 8 years. We plan to continue living our life in love, patience, and kindness. We’re just now officially, The Cuate’s!

What did you like the most about working with KV Photography?

You won’t regret going with Val and Ed. They both made our experience so fun! They’ll keep you laughing the entire time. Not only do they capture the most incredible photos from your wedding day, but they truly become your friends. We knew we had made the right choice after meeting them for our engagement session. They make the entire experience so fun, and everyone at your wedding will love them! They capture all the candid moments that you never knew you needed.
