How did you both meet?

James and I met through a mutual friend. I went to DC to visit a friend from PA school and met James through her. They were next door neighbors growing up.

How did your husband propose?

We went to go visit his family in DC, and he took me to see the cherry blossoms. There, he proposed at the Tidal Basin during peak season of the cherry blossoms!

What was your wedding inspiration? (think decor, overall theme and feel of the day, etc.)

Mainly Tuscan-inspired and elegant. 

What was your favorite design element of your wedding?

Absolutely everything, but I especially loved the flowers!

Describe some of your favorite wedding details and how you came up with them.

Loved the floral arrangement on the tables, as well as the greenery behind me during the reception. Also, Etsy was a big help!

What was the most memorable moment of your wedding day?

For both James and I it definitely was seeing each other for the first time when I walked down the aisle.

Our cake was incredibly amazing!! So moist, beautiful, and simply perfect!

Any advice for those planning their wedding now?

Try to relax and enjoy the planning process! It is actually so much fun and it goes by so fast!

What was your biggest surprise on your wedding day?

My mom surprised me with the greenery board behind me, it was absolutely beautiful!

What one moment will last with you both forever?

First, seeing each other walk down the aisle, and second, our beautiful sparkler exit!

Which moment are you the most excited to see in photos?

The expression in James’ face when I came down the aisle. Also, all the dancing photos at the reception.

What are you most looking forward to as a married couple?

Living together and enjoying all the new chapters ahead of us!
