How did you both meet?

I was shopping for a new car at the local Acura store. When it came time to discuss price I wanted the best deal and didn’t want the back-and-forth negotiation. And then, here comes this fine-looking young man who was the Sales Manager. He takes me to his all-glass office and gives me his honest opinion that I should wait to see what next month’s incentives will be. Needless to say, I didn’t walk out with keys to a brand-new Acura but I got a phone number and a first date instead!

How did your husband propose?

We went Christmas shopping to buy gifts for our family and also for ourselves. Later that week, I wrapped the gifts thinking how great it was that we didn’t have to take anything back because we picked out exactly what we wanted. Traditionally, on Christmas morning we go to my parents’ house and we do family breakfast, then we open gifts. After we were done with the gifts, I was cleaning up and Andrew looked at my mom and said, “I have one more gift for Lauren.” I come back to the living room and Andrew stands up, grabs my hands and drops to one knee! He tells me how I’ve made him the happiest man, that he has found his best friend for life and so many other sweet things that I couldn’t hear because I was sobbing. Finally, I hear “will you marry me” and I couldn’t believe it was real, it felt like a dream. Of course, I said yes!

What was your wedding inspiration? (think decor, overall theme and feel of the day, etc.)

Our wedding day inspiration was blush tones, greenery, unstructured floral pieces and a sea of white! I couldn’t fully visualize every little detail I wanted during the planning process. Seeing it all come together, it was everything I had dreamed of but all in one place!

What was your favorite design element of your wedding?

My favorite design element was the Arch. It was a very functional piece that I was able to use during the ceremony as well as a design piece behind our sweetheart table!

Describe some of your favorite wedding details and how you came up with them.

The white drums that covered the chandeliers in the ballroom as well as the white dance floor. These details came from an awesome friend of mine RJ who is the owner of The Production Crew! He showed me photos and I knew I had to have both!

What was the most memorable moment of your wedding day?

Without a doubt, the most memorable moment of our wedding day was the first look! Seeing my fiancée’s reaction to something I had kept a secret for 14 months was priceless. Second, my dress! Not to mention the emotions I felt seconds before he turned around to walk towards me.

Please describe your cake (if any):

We had a very simple 2-tiered cake with chocolate and vanilla. Andrew likes chocolate and I like vanilla! The outside was covered in a white buttercream icing topped with blush florals. Also, we had a dessert bar which had a chocolate dessert, a summer tart dessert and an assortment of macaroons.
