How did you both meet?

We meet during a work trip to Washington, DC for National Police Week.

How was the proposal?

Tyler proposed on top of a mountain in Asheville, NC. He went to college up there and did it during a trip we took up there to visit his college.

What was your wedding inspiration? (think decor, overall theme and feel of the day, etc)

I didn’t have an exact theme, but I knew I definitely wanted a glamorous look. 

What was your favorite design element of your wedding?

The decor and all of the little details were my favorite thing. Also, the flowers and decor were amazing and my bouquet was to die for. 

Describe some of your favorite wedding details and how you came up with them.

My mom came up with a lot of the smaller details. One thing I came up with was the whiskey blending ceremony. I ordered the personalized whiskey barrel and the glass decanters to hold the two different types of whiskey that we blended together. I figured it would be a cool and different type of blending ceremony. 

What was the most memorable moment of your wedding day?

I can’t think of just one moment. Everything about wedding was memorable!

Any advice for those planning their wedding now?

Do good research on a wedding planner and what services are provided. Secondly, do research on the wedding boutiques and wedding dresses. Try to find one that has a seamstress. The boutique I brought my dress from didn’t do alterations. The seamstress they referred me to, over charged me and almost ruined my dress. When I spoke to the boutique about the issue they pretty much politely told me it wasn’t their problem. 

What was your biggest surprise on your wedding day?

The charm my mother and wedding planner added to my bouquet which contained a picture of my dad. 

What one moment will last with you both forever?

It was definitely when I got to the end of the aisle and was able to look Tyler in his eyes. Also when we held hands at the altar.

Tennessee Whiskey by Chris Stapleton

What are you most looking forward to as a married couple?

To have someone to spend the rest of my life with and all the adventures we are going to have. 

What did you like the most about working with KV Photography?

What I liked most was how much fun you guys made taking pictures. Tyler hates taking pictures and usually looks super uncomfortable in photos. You guys made it so much fun and made us laugh so the pictures come out looking so natural and not forced. I also love all of your work.
