How did you both meet?

I worked at a bank and met him through the drive-thru teller window. And then he sent me a singing telegram and asked me out to dinner.

How did your husband propose?

We were in Venice Italy on our private roof top terrace at our hotel.

What was your wedding inspiration? (think decor, overall theme and feel of the day, etc)

The inspiration was vineyard and wine (our Italy trip was the inspiration)

What was your favorite design element of your wedding?

My favorite design element was the grapes and purple color and integrating that within the wedding.

Describe some of your favorite wedding details and how you came up with them.

My favorite wedding details were our chalkboard sign about the first day, the yes day, the best day and the outside ceremony area. I came up with them through pinterest and gathering stuff I liked and combining certain elements together.

What was the most memorable moment of your wedding day?

Most memorable moment was when the music started as I was about to walk down the aisle and I came out and everyone was just staring at me. I felt like Bella in the movie Twilight when she was getting married to Edward. I used the same song “A Thousand Years” as in the movie and I will never forget that moment.

Please describe your cake (if any):

We had a 3 tier cake. 1 layer was Red velvet, 1 was strawberry, and I forget the other flavor. The top layer had purple frosting flowers and the bottom 2 layers were beautiful designs. The cake topper were 2 porcelain doves embracing.

Can you please list your vendors:

Raining Roses – Flowers

Jocelyn Houston – Hair

Meghann Davis – Makeup

Party Flavors – Cake

Caroline Guy – Officiant

Dubsdread – Location and food

DJ Ron – Music

Any advice for those planning their wedding now?

Pinterest is the best. Use it! And don’t wait until the last week to put together all your decorative pieces!

What was your biggest surprise on your wedding day?
Biggest surprise was that our Dove handler showed up and we were actually able to release our doves!

What one moment will last with you both forever?

Running away after the ceremony to have some alone time. We felt very badass and rebellious lol.

Which moment are you the most excited to see in photos?

Our wedding party photos!

What song did you walk down the aisle to?

I walked down to “A Thousand Years” by Christina Perri

What song played for your first dance?

“Let Me Down Easy” by Billy Currington

What are you most looking forward to as a married couple?

Calling each other husband and wife! It’s a wonderful feeling. And all the traveling we will do next year before we have children.

What did you like the most about working with KV Photography?

Such a sweet and nice couple. Your work is amazing and you made us feel so comfortable and like Kings and Queens!
