How did you both meet?

We met at Brett’s office in Orlando. I was picking something up for work and we talked for a good 45 minutes. Later, I told him I had just moved to Orlando, and then I also told him that I had no friends and that I heard he was cool and that he had to hang out with me.

How did your husband propose?

Brett took me to this secret-members only club in Nashville called The Standard. There, we had a private dinner in the wine cellar and then a tour of the club. Later, we ended up in this room that had a secret room behind a bookcase. I was so amazed by the bookcase door that I didn’t notice Brett on one knee or the champagne in the corner. Then, I completely blacked out and then made him do it all over again.

What was your wedding inspiration? (think decor, overall theme and feel of the day, etc.)

We wanted to be with all the people we love and have a great time! For the decor, we wanted everything to be cohesive with the venue.

What was your favorite design element of your wedding?

My dress, hands down. Also, the flowers turned out so beautiful.

Describe some of your favorite wedding details and how you came up with them.

The table numbers with our baby pictures by year. I saw it somewhere on the internet and then I got made fun of for my giant forehead (between the ages of 1-3) by my wedding party during dinner.

What was the most memorable moment of your wedding day?

It would definitely have to be seeing Brett for the first look.

Please describe your cake (if any):

Sprinkles Custom Cakes did an amazing job. It was a 3-tiered cake and each layer was a different flavor in ivory buttercream with dainty details.

Any advice for those planning their wedding now?

Try to relax during the planning and don’t sweat the small stuff.

What was your biggest surprise on your wedding day?

Brett got me a vintage film camera as a wedding gift and I was so shocked. I am obsessed with it.

What one moment will last with you both forever?

Without a doubt, I have to say that it was reading the vows.

Which moment are you the most excited to see in photos?

Our first kiss as husband and wife!

La Vie En Rose

What are you most looking forward to as a married couple?

We are really looking forward to having a family, followed by getting old and retiring on a beach.

What did you like the most about working with KV Photography?

It was like hanging out with friends all day. We both felt so at ease and genuinely enjoyed spending time with you both. You are both so great!
