How did you both meet?

Tim and I met the old-Fashioned way; at a bar watching college football!  It was as close to “love at first sight” as real life could be…the rest is history!!

How did your husband propose?

We were playing a round of golf and finishing up around sunset. He proposed on the 18th green at the Ritz-Carlton, which is where we ultimately got married!

What was your wedding inspiration? (think decor, overall theme and feel of the day, etc.)

I just wanted something, classic and simple with a touch of romance and elegance.  I wanted it to be our “best day ever” and it was certainly everything we had imagined and then some.

What was your favorite design element of your wedding?

Honestly, I think it was everything! I can truly say that the vision I had in my head was exactly what we got. Our ceremony space (God and our angels above helped with the perfect cloud and sunset!), bridal party attire, reception space, cake, and really just everything came together so perfectly I still can’t believe it happened that way. There was not one thing I would change … it was absolutely perfect!

Describe some of your favorite wedding details and how you came up with them.

My personal favorite was the “best day ever” sign and the name place cards at each guest seat. These were design elements that I would not have thought of, but my wedding planner suggested them and I think they made all the difference. I also loved the gold and clear hexagon on the cake. It tied in everything we were trying to do and again everything was just awesome!

What was the most memorable moment of your wedding day?

There are way too many memorable moments to pick just one, but my favorites were the ceremony, speeches, first dance and all of the dancing that followed. We wanted a dance party and that is what we got!!

Please describe your cake (if any):

Tiered cake with white and marble fondant. It was accented with gold foil, beautiful flowers and a gold/clear hexagon accent.

Can you please list your vendors:

Blush by Brandee Gaar (Brandee was wedding planner), KV Photography, The Ritz Carlton (venue, food and cake), Swag Décor (drapes), Al Dee productions (DJ and lighting), Lee James Floral, Dogwood Blossom (“best day ever” sign and place card cutouts).

Any advice for those planning their wedding now?

Choose KV as your photographer, get a wedding planner and go for 1 or 2 “wow-factor” items.

What was your biggest surprise on your wedding day?

I thought all the flowers were going to be a waste but it really did make all the difference.

What one moment will last with you both forever?

Probably the first look and walking down the aisle, for both of us!

Which moment are you the most excited to see in photos?

It would definitely have to be our first look!

What song did you walk down the aisle to?

The traditional Wedding March.

What song played for your first dance?

Dan and Shay – Speechless.

What are you most looking forward to as a married couple?

Just spending life together and growing as individuals, a couple, parents and a family! The best years are still yet to come!

What did you like the most about working with KV Photography?

I just felt like you guys were our kind of people. You were fun and made things exciting, but you are also very professional and direct when you need to be. You knew exactly what you were doing and would direct us what to do in order to get the perfect shot. I often see wedding pictures and think “the photographer should have told her to put her flowers down, or do this or do that” and I know there will be none of that with our pictures because you directed us to do exactly what we needed. I also loved the way you work in tandem and complimented each other. You know each other’s photography styles so well and I could tell you were in constant communication, even when you weren’t speaking to each other. It was actually quite impressive. You guys were truly amazing and helped use throughout the entire process which we were so grateful for. I am so pleased with the pictures we have already seen and can’t wait to see the rest!! 🙂
