How did you both meet?

Jonathan and I met in college at the University of Florida 7 years ago through mutual friends.

How did your husband propose?

On the rooftop of a hotel in Dallas at sunset.

What was your wedding inspiration? (think decor, overall theme and feel of the day, etc.)

Our wedding was very romantic with pops of color. We definitely wanted our guests to feel blown away when they walked into the room!

What was your favorite design element of your wedding?

All the flowers! Especially the flowers for the head table.

Describe some of your favorite wedding details and how you came up with them.

I really loved the indoor cool sparks boxes. Also, how the photos came out with them and it surprised the guests. We saw photos of a previous wedding and we immediately knew we wanted those at our wedding! I also really enjoyed the light up violin company we hired, named Violectric. They really livened up the guests and was definitely a different element I hadn’t seen in a wedding before.

What was the most memorable moment of your wedding day?

It would probably have to be when the band got Jon and I up on the stage and we got to see all the people that came out to support our wedding day.

Please describe your cake (if any):

Our cake was so delicious! It was a multi-layer fondant cake with flowers. Each layer was different; one was vanilla, the second one was cookies and creme, and finally strawberry and cream cheese frosting, piña colada, which is our absolute favorite.

Can you please list your vendors:

Photographers: KV Photography, Venue: Alfond Inn, Wedding Planner: Lisa Stoner, Videographer: Seltzer Films, Florist: Raining Roses, Cake: Sprinkles, Hair & Makeup: Kristy Artistry, Band: Blonde Ambition, String Music: Violectric.

Any advice for those planning their wedding now?

Take time and enjoy the process! Most importantly, don’t stress about the little things, because it will all work out in the end!

What was your biggest surprise on your wedding day?

My dad’s reaction when he saw my dress. He is a very stoic man, so to see him tear up was a total surprise.

What one moment will last with you both forever?

Without a doubt it was our first dance. It felt like time stopped and we were just dancing and having a good time. Jon and I both say it felt magical to us.

Which moment are you the most excited to see in photos?

It would have to be our first kiss!

What song did you walk down the aisle to?

Here Comes the Bride

What song played for your first dance?

All of Me – John Legend

What are you most looking forward to as a married couple?

Traveling and exploring the world together!

What did you like the most about working with KV Photography?

KV Photography were such an incredible team to work with! Val and Ed did an amazing job of making us and our guests feel comfortable, and you can see that through their photos. They have an incredible talent of capturing an exact moment so beautifully.
