How did you both meet?
In January 2013 in downtown Melbourne, I was having a girls night, and he was having a guys night. I knew a few of his friends, and he knew some of my friends. We sparked up great conversation and have been inseparable ever since.

How did your husband propose?
After a family vacation in Colorado, Eric and I stayed a few extra days in Denver for New Years Eve. On Jan 1st, 2016, Eric and I were driving and looking for places to take pictures and use our GoPro, when we came across a gorgeous mountainside with a lake that had been frozen over in a little town, called Nederland. We stopped, got out, and began to explore this beautiful sight as the sun began to set. I found a large rock to rest on and soak up the view, when Eric got down on one knee and popped the big question. Completely shocked, I said “YES” and we both began to cry. It was the most amazing moment I have ever experienced.

What was your wedding inspiration? (think decor, overall theme and feel of the day, etc.)
We wanted our day to be elegant, enchanting and whimsical. We nailed every single detail. The overall feel of the day was sheer JOY. Not only from Eric and I, but every single guest was awestruck with happiness. I will never forget looking around and feeling as if we were in a dream.

What was your favorite design element of your wedding?
Our ceremony was simply gorgeous! The church was so bright and airy and full of flowers on every pew. The reception was full of glitz and glam. There were crystal chandeliers, amazing view of the river, a beautiful staircase and great dancefloor area.

Describe some of your favorite wedding details and how you came up with them.
My “something old” was my great grandfather’s 101st Airborne Pin from WWll. He passed a year prior to the wedding, and I knew that I wanted him with me as I walked down the aisle. So, I pinned his pin to my bouquet in remembrance of my hero.

What was the most memorable moment of your wedding day?
EVERYTHING! From having a blast and getting ready with my bridesmaids, getting into the limo with my nerves fluttering, lining up at the church and having our bridesmaids and groomsmen say, “I love you,” to me as they lined up and walked down the aisle, hearing my dad’s voice crack as he said, “are you ready?”, seeing the man of my dreams at the end of the aisle waiting for me and dancing the night away with my husband and our closest family and friends at the reception.

Please describe your cake (if any):
It was white with polka dots and covered with flowers. We also had a very special cake top, that my grandma made for us.

Any advice for those planning their wedding now?
Don’t Stress! Delegate to those who want to help. Keep in mind, the most important part of your day is your covenant with God and your love for one another. Don’t worry too much about the details, trust me, you will not remember them. Be calm. Be flexible. Things will go wrong, just laugh about it  and roll with the punches. HAVE FUN!!!.

What was your biggest surprise on your wedding day?
How no one wanted to leave the reception, once it was over. We had an awesome after party!

What one moment will last with you both forever?
An overwhelming feeling of happiness when I was looking around the room during the reception. I thought my heart would explode with joy. Seeing a peace in Eric that I had never seen before and feeling at peace, myself.

Which moment are you the most excited to see in photos?
I am excited to see them all!.

What song did you walk down the aisle to?
Turning Page By: Sleeping at Last.

What song played for your first dance?
Work Song By: Hoizer.

What are you most looking forward to as a married couple?
All that this life has in store. The ups, the downs, the good, the bad and the ugly. Becoming closer to God together every day as husband and wife. Learning and growing together as one.

What did you like the most about working with KV Photography?
How comfortable you made us feel. How personable and friendly you both were. You made us feel like family, not just clients. We appreciated everything! You both are the most incredible wedding photographers in the world.
