How did you both meet?

We met at my previous job. I was a manager in a retail store that had recently opened. He used to get his haircut right next door and saw the new store so walked in and I assisted him. The rest is history!

How did your husband propose?

He proposed on New Year’s 2018 to 2019 at the party we hosted for our family in our condo. He waited until the ball dropped and got down on one knee! I was shocked of course. I didn’t see it coming.

What was your wedding inspiration? (think decor, overall theme and feel of the day, etc.)

The wedding inspiration was plush! We wanted comfy and stylish but elegant and clean. White is my favorite color, so I wanted something that reflected us in our everyday lives.

What was your favorite design element of your wedding?

Favorite design element was our florals. Our reception tables were a dream. Everything was perfect.

Describe some of your favorite wedding details and how you came up with them?

The bar sign with our dogs to incorporate them on our day since they are a huge part of our lives. Our favorite wedding moment was after we came back from taking photos. We had a mini cocktail hour and got to take it all in together.

What was the most memorable moment of your wedding day?

Without a doubt, the most memorable moment was our ceremony!!! It was beautiful and perfect.

Please describe your cake (if any):

We had a 7-tiered faux cake with a beautiful cascade of roses coming down one side. It was a dream come true.

Any advice for those planning their wedding now?

Start early and have lots of fun. Get as creative as you want and don’t hold back! Don’t not do something because you think someone won’t like it. It’s your day.

What was your biggest surprise on your wedding day?

The first look! We didn’t know we were going to participate in that until the night before.

Our wedding vows.

What are you most looking forward to as a married couple?

Starting a family and being together forever and ever!

What did you like the most about working with KV Photography?

The attention to detail was everything for us. They are beyond talented so that goes without saying, but we felt like we were extremely taken care of and cared for. Val and Ed are truly amazing at what they do. They care so much, and it shows in their work. They made us feel so special and for that we are forever grateful.
