How did you both meet?

We met at Top Golf with mutual friends.

How did your husband propose?

We went on a trip to visit my best friend (and maid of honor) and all of us were walking through Central Park in NYC, and we stopped for a photo op in front of the Bridge with the Plaza in the background and he asked me there!

What was your wedding inspiration? (think decor, overall theme and feel of the day, etc.)

We wanted it to be timeless and classic, with a twist of uniqueness here and there.

What was your favorite design element of your wedding?

We loved the flower wall with the monogram E behind the king’s table. Also, the whole King’s table – from the wall behind with the E, to the tall center pieces, to the name plates, to the velvet table cloth to really elevate it.

Describe some of your favorite wedding details and how you came up with them.

The taller flowers on the king’s table with the lower pieces on the other tables.  We wanted a contrast in height as part of our décor. We really wanted to stick with simplicity being key, we didn’t want an absurd number of flowers or anything “trendy” that we wouldn’t be able to look back on in 50 years and love, so we highlighted a few key places (head table, parents’ tables) and went out from there.

What was the most memorable moment of your wedding day?

For Hayden, it was standing at the end of the aisle watching Colleen walk towards him. For Colleen, it was when the doors opened at the Cathedral, my dad whispered to me “You ready?” and then me looking down and seeing Hayden at the end of the aisle.

Please describe your cake (if any):

We wanted to keep this very simple – white 3-tiered cake with a gold rim at the bottom of each tier.

Any advice for those planning their wedding now?

For grooms, don’t listen to the older generation who tell you just show up on the big day.  Be involved as much as you can.  Enjoy the process with your future wife.  For brides, ask your future husband for help!  You are going to be stressed out, but your other half is there to help! Also, don’t stress about the small things; there will be things to stress about, so don’t waste your energy on the little things because in the end they won’t matter.

What was your biggest surprise on your wedding day?

The biggest surprise for me was how well everything came together.  Our wedding day was so smooth and we enjoyed every minute of it.

What one moment will last with you both forever?

Standing there being announced as husband and wife in front of all of our close family and friends. Having everyone who is important to us from around the US in one room at the same time was overwhelmingly amazing.

Which moment are you the most excited to see in photos?

All the moments, literally every single one. That day was a fairytale and I just want to relive it as much as possible.

What are you most looking forward to as a married couple?

Beginning the new chapter in this life together. Raising children, having dogs, and seeing the world together.

What did you like the most about working with KV Photography?

Where do we even begin?  Ed and Val did such an amazing job with everything involving our wedding. The engagement shoot was such a blast for us, and the photos were unbelievable. The day of photos were smooth and planned out which caused no added stress. They are both great at communicating with their client to make sure everything is taken care of. They truly care.
