How did you both meet?

Seth and I met at work actually. He came down here to go to UTI which is an automotive school, he had put in a few applications once he graduated but hadn’t heard back. So he was going to move back to Georgia and his mom said go back to Infiniti and just check in with them before you call it quits. And sure enough they hired him, and here we are.

How did your husband propose?

We were going to my best friend’s house for a little get together for them to reveal their baby’s gender to us. So we found out she’s having a girl, and I was so happy and crying! I had with pink cupcake in my mouth, and then I turned around and he was standing there with a big ole ring! He asked and I said heck yes! And then after we calmed down, my family all came walking in the door to celebrate! Everyone knew but me, and it was an amazing perfect night with the people I love.

What was your wedding inspiration? (think decor, overall theme and feel of the day, etc.)

I wanted to keep it very simple and elegant. We went with golds, ivories and light pinks. Both of us wanted a timeless look for years down the road and not look back and be trendy. I loved the old feel of the white room so I didn’t want to over-shy the old rustic feel that it already encompasses.

What was your favorite design element of your wedding?

The flowers were gorgeous and that’s exactly what I wanted to spend the majority of my budget for decor on. The White Room itself is so pretty, so I just wanted to embellish on the exposed brick, wood floors and crystal chandeliers.

Describe some of your favorite wedding details and how you came up with them.

My husband loves cigars so I wanted to have a Cuba’s cigar roller for him to enjoy. My Aunt has been doing calligraphy for our presidents for decades, so I was happy to incorporate her work in the invitations as well as table numbers and place cards. It was so enjoyable to work with her on those projects.

What was the most memorable moment of your wedding day?

It’s hard to say but we had such an easy-going day and then after we hung out at a little bar with our close friends and I just was so happy that it was all done went well and we were finally married!

Please describe your cake (if any):

I wanted a very simplistic cake that kept in line with the floral feel of the wedding. I kept it all white and had hand-made sugar flowers cascading down the cake.

Any advice for those planning their wedding now?

Have people help you! Delegate, don’t try and do everything yourself.

What was your biggest surprise on your wedding day?

Not sure I had one!

What one moment will last with you both forever?

For me, it was walking down the aisle and seeing Seth emotional. Seth said for him it was me walking down the aisle.

Which moment are you the most excited to see in photos?

My family dancing and our family photos.

What song did you walk down the aisle to?

Lana del Rey- young and beautiful in a string quartet.

What song played for your first dance?

Amy Whitehouse- no greater love.

What are you most looking forward to as a married couple?

Starting our family. I can’t wait to see Seth as a dad.

What did you like the most about working with KV Photography?

You guys are amazing! Not only is your photography amazing but you made us feel comfortable and I felt like you were a part of our family and friends. Everyone just loves the sneak peek photos as well and we can’t wait to see the rest. I know you guys focus on weddings but I have to be able to use you for family stuff later on! You’re just the best!!
