How did you both meet?
We met at CrossFit in Miami.
How was the proposal?
The proposal was at Sandals South Coast in Jamaica. Jess’s family is from Jamaica and this was the first time we went to Jamaica together. Jess thought she was showing Eric Jamaica, little did she know Eric had a surprise up his sleeve. It was absolutely amazing and just a glimpse at our life together full of breath-taking moments and unconditional love. Eric proposed in a chapel on the water where he had it set up with rose petals, a sign with pictures of us, and it was right at sunset. Then we celebrated at a romantic dinner on the beach and the Jamaican waitress sang for us.
What was your wedding inspiration? (think decor, overall theme and feel of the day, etc)
The inspiration was a romantic Italian themed wedding with a mix of elegance and cozy, candlelit charm.
What was your favorite design element of your wedding?
We couldn’t get enough of the beautiful Bella Collina building behind the draped lights and chandelier. We could stand in that moment forever surrounded by all our family and friends.
Describe some of your favorite wedding details and how you came up with them.
Our favorite wedding details were sharing some of the things we both love with our guests like chocolate chip cookies and signature drinks involving Jamaica and the gym; Sweet Ting Punch and Swole Mule. We also had baby photos of us as the table numbers and a fun game where the guests received a picture of us cut in half and had to find their “better half” during the cocktail hour.
What was the most memorable moment of your wedding day?
It was all so memorable, but the first time we looked around at the crowd when standing at the alter was truly an incredible moment.
Please describe your cake (if any):
We had a 3-tiered cake made by my aunt with 3 different flavors of chocolate, vanilla and strawberry. My aunt thought of all the details, matching the flowers on the cake to our flowers at the wedding, capturing the gold details we had as decor, and even helping me custom design the cake topper with our names and silhouettes of us and our dog Bella.

Any advice for those planning their wedding now?
Don’t get overwhelmed by all the little details as they will sort themselves out so just enjoy it as it will fly by. Also, create a day-of timeline early on and discuss with your planners so that everyone is on the same page and it helps to have that done early. Don’t be scared to tell the planners what you want, they do a million weddings so are experts, but it’s your day.
What was your biggest surprise on your wedding day?
How fast it all goes. Especially the reception entrance, first dances and speeches, it went too quickly.
What one moment will last with you both forever?
Being up at the alter holding hands and looking around at all our best friends and family. It will last with us forever as we remember the support we are constantly surrounded by.

What are you most looking forward to as a married couple?
To starting our family together as husband and wife with dogs and kids to come.
What did you like the most about working with KV Photography?
We loved that they felt like family. They were so welcoming to all our guests and even gave advice when getting ready, the first look, the ceremony, etc. We truly valued their opinion and were happy they were there for us.
