How did you both meet?

We met thanks to a friend we both had in common.

How did your husband propose?

Christian proposed on Christmas Eve. He prepared the most romantic proposal in my sister’s house. Both of our families were together, and they were able to share that special moment with us. Christian had flowers, candles and a big “Marry Me Karina” sign by the pool area. It was magical and it still feels like a dream.

What was your wedding inspiration? (think decor, overall theme and feel of the day, etc.)

Our wedding inspiration was a night under the stars. We had a date kayaking at night, that made us realize how we felt about each other, so we wanted the stars to be the theme for our wedding, from the wedding invites to the ballroom decor.

What was your favorite design element of your wedding?

We loved the ballroom decor, it was exactly what we had pictured, it felt like walking into a magical garden. Another element that really made our wedding memorable was having a traditional Lebanese group dancing and welcoming us into the ballroom.

Describe some of your favorite wedding details and how you came up with them?

We wanted our wedding to tell a story and allow our guests to feel like they were part of it. The night had a lot of special moments. Us greeting our guests from a balcony, walking into the room with a traditional Lebanese group and dancing the night away surrounded by friends and family. Halfway through the party we also danced to some traditional Italian songs. As the night was coming to an end, we had the time of our lives during the “Hora Loca.” Right before midnight we enjoyed the most decadent desserts with some cappuccinos.

What was the most memorable moment of your wedding day?

We would have to say walking down the aisle.

Our cake was a 6 feet cake with 7 layers decorated with real roses in between each layer.

Any advice for those planning their wedding now?

Have a good vision of what you want for your wedding day, use Pinterest to make that vision clearer and do all you can to make sure you get the day you always dreamed of. Everything goes by really fast, so enjoy every second of it!

What was your biggest surprise on your wedding day?

Seeing my husband when I changed into my second dress. He had no idea I was going to have a second look and we were able to surprise him.

What one moment will last with you both forever?

Everything! The whole day is recorded in our hearts forever.

What song did you walk down the aisle to?

I walked down the aisle with a traditional Venezuelan song called: Venezuela.

What song played for your first dance?

Perfect by Ed Sheeran and Andrea Bocelli.

What are you most looking forward to as a married couple?

Traveling the world together and enjoying the simple things in life because next to each other they are the most amazing moments.

What did you like the most about working with KV Photography?

Throughout the planning process we appreciated the open communication and how responsive the team was. The day of the wedding we loved the fact that they became our friends, they made us feel super comfortable. They stayed with us throughout the entire night making sure to capture every single moment but most importantly, to help and support in every way they could. They delivered a few pictures a couple of days after the wedding, and they met the timeline they delivered the picture in the timeline they had promised! Really happy and glad we were able to have them as our photographers.
