How did you both meet?

We met online on Bumble.

How did your husband propose?

On a visit to Mt Hood, Oregon while on the side of a snowy mountain.

What was your wedding inspiration? (think decor, overall theme and feel of the day, etc.)

Our wedding inspiration was modern black & white with greenery.

What was your favorite design element of your wedding?

The coziness and intimateness of Casa Feliz, along with the chic black and white modern touches.

Describe some of your favorite wedding details and how you came up with them?

The floral arch used during the ceremony was a favorite piece but using the anemone flower was a great suggestion from Gather and Grace that really tied in the black and white theme. The table numbers were also a unique last-minute find. The sweetheart table and neon sign were also one of our favorites which Amy from Runway helped me dream up. We were both very excited for the black sweetheart table.

What was the most memorable moment of your wedding day?

Being able to see our fur child, Stella, and her being involved in the day and photos. She is so loved by us and all our family and friends. It meant so much that she was able to be there with us and in such good hands with FairyTail Pet Care!

Please describe your cake (if any):

We brought two different designs to Bakers Cottage Cakes, and she was able to merge the two ideas and even had custom square spacers/stands made for between each layer. The flavors were amaretto with almond Swiss meringue buttercream, orange almond with lavender honey caramel Swiss meringue buttercream, and white chocolate raspberry with strawberry champagne Swiss meringue buttercream.

Any advice for those planning their wedding now?

Try to set a budget and stick to it. Also try not to forget about the little details. Reading reviews on sites like The Knot and Wedding Wire were very helpful. However, we agreed the absolute best investment we made for the wedding and one that made all the difference was hiring a wedding planner! Working as a nurse during the pandemic, I was already stressed and adding wedding planning stress wasn’t on my to-do list, but Runway helped alleviate that so much!

What was your biggest surprise on your wedding day?

Being able to see all the details finally come together, especially the tables and outdoor courtyard space. Also, the weather! It had been very rainy all week and I was certain we would be facing rain that day/night but luckily the weather was slightly cool and perfect!

What one moment will last with you both forever?

Our private last dance together. We chose a fun song that has meaning to us and one we both love. We were able to end the night with a private moment between just us, while also having fun and setting the tone for our exit.

What song did you walk down the aisle to?

Can’t Help Falling In Love by Elvis Presley.

What song played for your first dance?

Coming Home by Leon Bridges.

What are you most looking forward to as a married couple?

Although the wedding planning was fun, it’s now exciting to be able to plan for new things together like home renovations, traveling, and planning for our future.

What did you like the most about working with KV Photography?

Hands down, the entire experience and interactions felt fun and effortless. We didn’t feel posed and so many photographs captured raw, natural emotion. Both of you were professional but also able to have fun and make jokes which made us feel relaxed and comfortable like we were hanging out with friends we’d known forever!
