How did you both meet?

We met in medical school. We kind of noticed each other in in between studying. He asked me out for frozen yogurt and my sweet tooth has never been the same.

How did your husband propose?

We were on a vacation with my family to San Diego. Vince loves golfing and I love to walk the course and watch him play. Then, the two of us went out to Torrey Pines… he played a round of golf and when we got to the 18th hole I saw both of our families waiting for us and when I turned around he was down on one knee.

What was your wedding inspiration? (think decor, overall theme and feel of the day, etc.)

I wanted a very simply, classic, yet elegant wedding. I knew I wanted all white florals.

What was your favorite design element of your wedding?

Definitely my bouquet!

What was the most memorable moment of your wedding day?

Walking out of the church.

Please describe your cake (if any):

We loved our cake. it was made by Sprinkles and was five layers. We are both sweets people, so we had three different flavors and loved them all. Our favorite flavor was the almond cake with fudge icing.

Can you please list your vendors:

St. James Cathedral, The Alfond Inn, The Wedding Angel (Wedding Coordinator), KV Photography, Lupinek Productions, Dream Designs (Florist), Explore your Beauty (Make Up), Hair (Missy Manion), The Collection Bridal, The Seamstress, Our DJ Rocks!, Orlando Wedding Party Rentals, Sprinkles

Any advice for those planning their wedding now?

Start early, go with your gut, and enjoy the process. We became very laissez-faire after we made decisions on the things most important to us.

What one moment will last with you both forever?

The homily at our ceremony – it was so intimate and sacred and our priest made us feel like we were chatting with him on the couch instead of on the altar.

What song did you walk down the aisle to?

Trumpet Voluntary – Clarke

What song played for your first dance?

If I ain’t got you – Alicia Keys

What are you most looking forward to as a married couple?

We are big family people, so joining our two families and someday starting one of our own.

What did you like the most about working with KV Photography?

Ed and Val make you feel at home right from the beginning. Photos can feel very awkward, but they made it fun and effortless. Their love for each other and their work is contagious, and I think that’s what helps them capture the love between their couples. We couldn’t ask for better photographers!
