How did you both meet?

Jeff and I met at Universal Orlando working at the Terminator 2:3D stunt show.  I was a Sarah Connor and he was John Connor.

How did your husband propose?

Jeff proposed on September 18, 2017 in my hometown of Pittsburgh, PA, at the top of the Monongahela incline on Mt. Washington.  The perfect view of the Pittsburgh skyline and the 3 rivers that join together. The joyous event was witnessed by my mother Lisa, and a few of my cousins from their impeccable hiding spot in the nearby bushes.  After I said yes, they all came running across the street shouting their congratulations.  It was also a complete surprise to me!

What was your wedding inspiration? (think decor, overall theme and feel of the day, etc.)

The inspiration for our wedding was a subtle Alice in Wonderland theme.  We mixed that with our wedding colors of blush, white, and sage to keep it a very elegant and classic looking.

What was your favorite design element of your wedding?

The flowers were amazing and really helped bring everything together.

Describe some of your favorite wedding details and how you came up with them.

A lot of the Alice in wonderland pieces were things I found on Pinterest like the moss hearts for the seating chart and the illustration table numbers.  The Mad Hatter card box was also used at my Mad Tea Party inspired Bridal Shower.  The cookie table!  It’s tradition for Pittsburgh weddings, or anyone from there, to have a cookie table in addition to cake.  The various cookie table signs were all made by me along with all of the other signs at the wedding.  The arrow sign was inspired by the amusement park Kennywood located in Pittsburgh, the large mirrored cookie table sign has the cookie table poem on it and the smaller frames had some fun cookie and Pittsburgh references.

What was the most memorable moment of your wedding day?

I know for Jeff his most memorable moment was everything leading up to the first look and obviously the first look itself.  For myself, the first look, the first dance, and also being able to see the reception hall for the first time with everything put together!

Please describe your cake (if any):

Our cake was inspired by the cake from the royal wedding of Harry and Meghan topped with florals in our color pallet.  We had two different cake flavors.  The first being and almond cake with an amaretto filling and the other being a chocolate cake with an amaretto filling.  It was the most delicious cake I have ever had in my life!

Can you please list your vendors:

Venue (ceremony and reception): Four Seasons Resort, Planner: Pavone Events, Photography: KV Photography, Video: Brandon Kari Productions, DJ: DJ Jacob Co, Florist: Fairbanks Florist, Dress: Minerva’s Bridal Suite, Pet care: Fairy Tail Pet care, Draping: Swag Décor, Linens: Connie Duglin Linen, Invitations: Minted.

Any advice for those planning their wedding now?

My best advice would be to first hire a planner!  I don’t think everything would have turned out the way it did if we did not have Andrea helping us.  Second of all, would be to follow your gut instinct.  In other words, if you want them a certain way trust yourself and don’t let anyone talk you out of what you want, even if that means breaking “tradition”.  Third, don’t wait to get things done!  You don’t want to be driving around trying to get last-minute things the day of your rehearsal.

What was your biggest surprise on your wedding day?

The biggest surprise was that my mother had arranged for an oil painting of our ceremony to be painted during our actual ceremony.  It was the perfect addition!

What one moment will last with you both forever?

One thing we definitely won’t forget is the overwhelming feeling of love and happiness from all of our friends and family!

Which moment are you the most excited to see in photos?

The first look for sure!!  And all the ones with our adorable puppy, Gatsby 🙂

What song did you walk down the aisle to?

I walked down the aisle to “All I ask of you” from Phantom of the Opera.

What song played for your first dance?

Our first dance song was “The Way you make me feel” by Michael Jackson.

What are you most looking forward to as a married couple?

As a married couple, we are most looking forward to always having your best friend with you to experience all the things with.

What did you like the most about working with KV Photography?

What was not to like working with KV?  Honestly you guys are amazing people with a wonderful creative gift of capturing moments with your photography.  Our number one priority was photography, and we couldn’t have found anyone better than KV.
