Gorgeous Wedding at Private Estate in Clearwater | Whitney and Sam | Orlando Wedding Photographer

How did you both meet?
We me through a mutual friend. But, I thought Sam was someone else and that he liked my friend. So we actually “met” twice.

How did your husband propose?
Sam concocted the most ridiculous story with the help of my parents. My family told me we were going to dinner for my grandmother’s birthday and would be taking the boat there. The boat “broke down” off the shore of a beach we were heading to for dinner. As planned, a friend was fishing nearby and brought me into shore. I was absolutely shocked when I saw Sam standing there. He proposed on the beach and all of our family was there to celebrate after.

What was your wedding inspiration? (think decor, overall theme and feel of the day, etc)
I wanted the wedding to be huge and fun. My guests were absolutely the most important part of the day and I think everything we decided to add kept their experience in mind. We added a lot of experience type elements and wanted everything to be personal and unique.

What was your favorite design element of your wedding?
The florals over the dance floor!! And just the tent in general! I wanted a wedding that could never be duplicated. Loved the boxwood wall with hand made paper calligraphy names, the wood place card names, the musician stage in the spa, the photo booth streaming on the video screens, my dad’s video of me during the dad daughter dance, and all the speeches!

Describe some of your favorite wedding details and how you came up with them.
I have to give all the credit to my mom on this one. She really was the brains behind the operation. I did choose the pizza truck though!!.

What was the most memorable moment of your wedding day?
Oh gosh there are so many. My dad seeing me in my dress and the hora loca will always be some of the best moments of my life. Hearing Sam’s vows and the entire ceremony was incredible.

Please describe your cake (if any):
I loved our cakes! We had mini cakes made that were topped with a succulent design. I didn’t want a cake cutting breaking up the party feel so we opted for this instead.

Any advice for those planning their wedding now?
Soak up every minute! Even when it seems like the task is annoying. It’s over so quickly and you’ll never get to do it again.

What was your biggest surprise on your wedding day?
Everything was just amazing! Because we basically crafted this day from scratch, I had no idea what it was going to look like all together. Seeing that tent come to life with all our guests inside was priceless.

What one moment will last with you both forever?
Our ceremony. I really think it was such a perfect combination of our personalities and religious backgrounds.

Which moment are you the most excited to see in photos?
Moments from the ceremony! As the bride I missed that whole part so I’m looking forward to it.

What song did you walk down the aisle to?
Canon in D

What song played for your first dance?
Die a Happy Man – Thomas Rhett.

What are you most looking forward to as a married couple?
Building a life together we are proud of.

What did you like the most about working with KV Photography?
You both are so sweet, never annoying, and made us all feel comfortable. Telling me to imagine Sam running in a speedo made for some great natural laughing pics (haha)! It was a wonderful process working with you and I would recommend you to anyone.
