How did you both meet?
Tinder.

How did your husband propose?
We were taking our dogs hiking in Asheville, NC and he kept trailing behind me claiming to be “enjoying the view”, I turned around to tell him to keep up and he was down on one knee!.

What was your wedding inspiration? (think decor, overall theme and feel of the day, etc)
Simple, Natural, Tuscan.

What was your favorite design element of your wedding?
The table decor and the floating candles.

Describe some of your favorite wedding details and how you came up with them.
I looked through Pinterest for most of my inspirations. Loved the greenery that Vangie used for all the decor.

What was the most memorable moment of your wedding day?
Seeing my husband actually enjoying himself on the dance floor.

3 layer white cake with blush/cream flowers scattered…DELICIOUS.

Book/Plan early so there’s less stress.

What was your biggest surprise on your wedding day?
How emotional I felt right before I walked down the aisle.

What one moment will last with you both forever?
Tearing up the dance floor with my family.

Which moment are you the most excited to see in photos?
The pictures Ed took of us after the ceremony out in the development and the pictures of us by the tunnel.

What are you most looking forward to as a married couple?
Being together for all of life’s adventures!.

What did you like the most about working with KV Photography?
EVERYTHING! But seriously, since Derek and I aren’t “look longingly into each other’s eyes” type of people, so I was worried there would be some awkwardness when taking photos. Neither of us ever felt uncomfortable. From the second we met Ed & Val it felt like they were meant to be there. We loved how they worked together and how they captured such amazing moments. I wish we could do it all over again. Guess we’ll just have to wait for maternity photos 😉
