How did you both meet?
At a Halloween party.

How did your husband propose?
In New York’s Central Park after building a snowman.

What was your wedding inspiration? (think decor, overall theme and feel of the day, etc)
Once we chose the venue we were able to create the theme. We tried matching the Tuscan feel.

What was your favorite design element of your wedding?
We loved the venue, the chuppah and the candles at each table.

Describe some of your favorite wedding details and how you came up with them.
We loved being able to get ready and spend the entire day at the venue. I loved the champagne for guests before the the ceremony. It gave a celebratory and relaxed feel for early guests. We also loved how all the guests raved about the food. The food was very important to us. We also enjoyed how the lights looked.

What was the most memorable moment of your wedding day?
Probably how cold it was for the ceremony. It kind of sparked the adrenaline in everyone. I also really liked all the first looks and how my brother snuck into the girls’ room for his own first look. Mike and I also had a really good time before the ceremony for photos.

Please describe your cake (if any):
We had a cupcake tower from Gigi’s. I hate bad tasting beautiful wedding cakes. I wanted flavor over everything and people seemed to love them. I also loved the floral cake topper.

Can you please list your vendors:
We had Vangie for wedding planning, Get Lit productions for lighting, DJ Gary White, Beautiful Music (musicians), KV Photography and Cinemedia (videographer).
 

Any advice for those planning their wedding now?
Make sure you create a separate email address for only wedding stuff. It will organize where everything is. Also, get The Knots wedding planning book. It gives a timeline of when you need to get things done and it was the most helpful thing I had.

What was your biggest surprise on your wedding day?
Probably how cold it was and how fast the day went.

What one moment will last with you both forever?
The first look.

Which moment are you the most excited to see in photos?
Ceremony, family portraits and really great shots of the two of us.

What song did you walk down the aisle to?
Canon D

What song played for your first dance?
God only knows. The beach boys

What are you most looking forward to as a married couple?
Just what the future has in store.

What did you like the most about working with KV Photography?
You guys were really easy to work with and it made for a relaxed environment. You were also very patient.
