How did you both meet?

We met at University of Miami during our freshman year. I was sitting down on the couch looking over my pictures from my recent Italy trip. He was on the other side of the room and I asked, “William, can you pass me my lunch box please?” And he said, “Me? I’m Michael!” Well, it turns out his middle name is William! After that, he came over and I told him all about my Italy trip, and the rest is history!

How was the proposal?

Michael & I went to St. Augustine to visit the lighthouse. I almost didn’t climb up the 14 stories but I’m glad I did! Later, we went around the top of the lighthouse and then he gave me a little speech and went down on one knee.

What was your wedding inspiration? (think decor, overall theme and feel of the day, etc)

We wanted everything to be elegant and graceful.

What was your favorite design element of your wedding?

The chandeliers at the Four Seasons! Also, the overall look with the flowers and mirror tables.

Describe some of your favorite wedding details and how you came up with them.

First, the necklace around my bouquet was my grandma’s. My mother and my sister both also used it in their wedding. Secondly, Polleras at the hora loca! Since I was little I loved putting on a skirt and dancing at all our parties. Another detail we loved was our monogram on the stationary, napkins, dance floor, DJ screen.

What was the most memorable moment of your wedding day?

Being with my new husband! Honestly all of it was memorable and I loved every minute of it. Our favorite part of the reception was the hora loca!

Please describe your cake (if any):

It was delicious! as well as elegant, simple and white with cascading baby’s breath.

Can you please list your vendors:

Four Seasons Orlando, St. James Cathedral, KV Photography, Runway Events, I Rock Your Party, Al Agua Cinema, Letz Dance on It, It’s My Party (stationary), MoMichelle Makeup Artistry, About Face Design, M3 Beauty, Apollo Chariots, VIP transportation, Fiora Design Studio, Bubble (chairs and tables rental)

Any advice for those planning their wedding now?

Don’t do things just because it’s the way things are always done! I went against a few traditions from my culture and don’t regret it! Go with vendors that have the look that you are going for. More importantly, start on your timeline as soon as you can! Especially makeup and hair timeline!

What was your biggest surprise on your wedding day?

How smoothly everything ran because of my wedding planners!

What one moment will last with you both forever?

Sharing our first “Everything” together surrounded by our loved ones as sparklers blazed around us on the dance floor. Oh, and the seven speeches delivered by our family and friends will be very well remembered too!

What song did you walk down the aisle to?

Bridal Chorus from Lohengrin – Wagner

What song played for your first dance?

Blue Danube and Everything by Michael Buble

What are you most looking forward to as a married couple?

Sharing new moments that will last with us forever, and officially being a family. Living a life together that makes those that came before us (and those come after us) proud.

What did you like the most about working with KV Photography?

Loved all the directions they gave me. I tend to be shy in front of the camera and I felt very comfortable. Also, I loved how you guys made jokes to get us to do some candid and real smiles and laughs. You knew all the best spots at the Four Seasons to take pictures, which we thought was amazing too!
