How did you both meet?

We matched on an app and planned to go on a date on a Friday the 13th. Then, we ran into each other the night before at our favorite neighborhood bar! We still went on our first date as planned the next day and have been inseparable ever since!

How was the proposal?

Ash and I took a trip to Napa Valley where he scheduled a private vineyard tour at Viader Vineyards & Winery. Later, we got to walk around the vineyard on our own after the wine tasting. It was then when Ash got down on one knee and asked me to spend forever with him!

What was your wedding inspiration? (think decor, overall theme and feel of the day, etc)

We wanted our wedding to have a classic and romantic feel! Also, something timeless that would be forever captured in our photos.

What was your favorite design element of your wedding?

One of our favorite designs at our wedding was the greenery. We had a hedge wall behind  our sweetheart table with a neon sign of our last name displayed above us.

Describe some of your favorite wedding details and how you came up with them.

We incorporated both of our heritages in our wedding favors. We included candy from Japan and handmade origami boxes from Australia. 

What was the most memorable moment of your wedding day?

Dancing with friends! Also, exchanging our vows and promises to each other.

Please describe your cake (if any):

Our cake had 4 tiers. First, champagne-flavored cake with raspberry filling. Second, it was delicious and also beautiful! Our florist and cake vendor worked together and adorned our cake with eucalyptus and delicate blush flowers.

Any advice for those planning their wedding now?

Build a collaborative spreadsheet to share with each other and vendors. Second, hire KV Photography! We also did a private last dance while our guests lined up for our exit. It was nice to have a private last moment just the two of us to end the night.

What was your biggest surprise on your wedding day?

The biggest surprise on our wedding day was how quickly the whole day went! It flew by and every minute of it was amazing.

What one moment will last with you both forever?

Walking down the aisle together hand in hand after the ceremony.

What song did you walk down the aisle to?

Canon in D by Pachebel

What song played for your first dance?

This, by Darius Rucker. It has been our song ever since Ash saw Darius Rucker perform live and immediately thought of our relationship together!

What are you most looking forward to as a married couple?

Wearing matching clothes like cool elderly couples. Also, buying our first home together and starting a family. Later on, we are really excited about our honeymoon next year!

What did you like the most about working with KV Photography?

We absolutely loved working with Val and Ed! They were both so professional and friendly and even got to the venue early so they could walk around and find great photo spots. We loved the spots they recommended and also appreciated that they were willing to go to the photo spots we had picked out as well. They worked great together and made us feel comfortable and were a blast! Additionally, we love their photography style, we especially love the silhouette photo of the two of us on the golf course!
