How did you both meet?

Cam and I met when we were 13 in England! We moved overseas for our parent’s jobs and attended the same school. We instantly became best friends, and by the end of our senior year of high school, we started dating!

How did your husband propose?

He proposed on the beach in front of a ton of our friends! Cam and I had driven to the beach that day and got there around sunset. We were only on the beach for a few minutes before he asked me to go on a walk. I got a little suspicious and had a feeling he was going to propose. We walked for a few minutes, and I could tell he was getting nervous. Once we stopped, we talked for a bit, and then he got down on one knee and proposed. We had the best night celebrating with our friends!

What was your wedding inspiration? (think decor, overall theme and feel of the day, etc.)

From the very beginning of planning, I told everyone that I wanted our wedding to feel romantic and whimsical, and I think we pulled it off!

What was your favorite design element of your wedding?

The flowers! I had always dreamed of having lush, beautiful flowers everywhere. The flowers were more than I could have ever dreamed of!

Describe some of your favorite wedding details and how you came up with them?

One of our favorite details was our photo booth! During cocktail hour, we had a roaming photo booth, and during the reception, we had a more traditional photo booth. Ed and Val gave our photo booth people a picture we took during our first look, and they used it to make a mosaic wall. Each photo taken became a tile on our photo mosaic wall. At the end of the wedding, the photo mosaic was done, and there was a large picture of us that was made up of small photos of our friends and family! As soon as we got back from our honeymoon, we got it framed and hung it up! Our other favorite detail was the flowers! We had a flower arch during our ceremony that was absolutely breathtaking.

What was the most memorable moment of your wedding day?

Seeing all our friends and family on the dance floor! Due to Covid, it had been a while since we had seen a lot of our friends and family. Seeing everyone together dancing, singing, and having a good time was very special.

Please describe your cake (if any):

Our cake was three tiers, with small flowers all around it.

Any advice for those planning their wedding now?

Do what you want to do! There were a few traditional wedding things that I didn’t love. We decided not to include some of those traditions in our wedding, and I’m so happy with our choice!

What was your biggest surprise on your wedding day?

How calm I felt! A lot of people say that before you walk down the aisle, you get a little nervous, but I never had any nerves, more of a feeling of excitement!

What one moment will last with you both forever?

Definitely our first look. It was a moment that we had both been talking about a lot. I must have asked Cameron 100 times what he thought my dress would look like in the days leading up to the wedding. It was such a special moment that we had to ourselves, and we will cherish it forever!

What song did you walk down the aisle to?

Can’t Help Falling In Love by Kina Grannis

What song played for your first dance?

Lifetime by Justin Bieber

What are you most looking forward to as a married couple?

Just spending time together, traveling, and continuing to grow our relationship and family!

What did you like the most about working with KV Photography?

Absolutely everything! My husband and I didn’t do an engagement shoot with Ed and Val, so the first time we met them was at our wedding! From the very beginning, they made us feel so comfortable and kept us laughing the whole time. I truly can’t say enough good things!
