How did you both meet?

We met on Bumble. Kyle was the first guy that I had ever met on a dating site, and luckily, it ended up working out!

How did your husband propose?

Kyle proposed in Paris. He knew that Paris was my dream vacation, so he surprised me for Christmas with a trip to France. He had an elaborate plan for the proposal, which didn’t work out. Then, he hired a photographer to capture candid photos when he popped the question the second day of our trip. As it turns out, he was so nervous holding on to the ring that he ended up proposing on the first night! Although it wasn’t as he planned, it ended up being such a beautiful moment. We were alone on our balcony which was right in front of the Eiffel Tower.

What was your wedding inspiration? (think decor, overall theme and feel of the day, etc.)

Our wedding inspiration was mostly romantic and natural. I really liked the idea of muted colors, so blush pinks and greenery are what we went with.

What was your favorite design element of your wedding?

My favorite element was the candelabras that were used as the centerpieces for our wedding. They made the room look so majestic!

Describe some of your favorite wedding details and how you came up with them?

The colors and flowers were all inspired by Pinterest. It was such a help when it came to wedding planning. Vangie, our wedding planner helped us build our concept for everything else!

What was the most memorable moment of your wedding day?

The most memorable moment for us was the weather! It was so cold, but it definitely made for closer cuddles and a memorable wedding. Our first dance was also another memorable moment for us. I actually forgot that we opted for the first dance on a cloud which made our first dance even more special!

Please describe your cake (if any):

Our wedding cake was three tiers: marble with cookies and cream icing, amaretto, and the top tier, which we kept for our 1-year anniversary, was red velvet. We decided on an all-buttercream cake. It had lace details on the second tier and was garnished with fresh flowers.

Any advice for those planning their wedding now?

Don’t stress out and enjoy your wedding day! It really does fly by so fast. Take time to take in the moment and enjoy every minute of the wedding you worked so hard to plan!

What was your biggest surprise on your wedding day?

Our biggest surprise was how much fun we had at our reception. I think I was so stressed out about the weather and having everything perfect for the ceremony, that once the ceremony was over, we had one of the best nights of our lives.

What one moment will last with you both forever?

The one moment that stuck out to us the most was our first dance. All our friends and family were standing around us. We had family visit us from all over the country and having them all in the room was just overwhelming. The love that we felt in that room will last with us forever.

What song did you walk down the aisle to?

I walked down the aisle to a string trio version of “Can’t Help Falling in Love” originally by Elvis Presley

What song played for your first dance?

The song that played for our first dance was “Say You Won’t Let Go” by James Arthur

What are you most looking forward to as a married couple?

Babies! (Just kidding, kind of… lol) We are most looking forward to building our lives together.

What did you like the most about working with KV Photography?

How comfortable you made us feel. From the very first moment we met, I knew that we made the right decision hiring KV as our wedding photographers. You guys are awesome and your attention to detail is what we enjoyed the most. You guys really caught every single moment and made it into art. Thank you so much!
