Wedding at The Alfond Inn | Beck and Tyler | Winter Park Wedding Photography

How did you both meet?
On Match. Our first date was at Bulla in Winter Park. We both knew then, that it was something special, we were pretty much inseparable from that moment on :).

How did your husband propose?
At home in our new house, just us! He surprised me one day after work, it was intimate and perfect! He decorated with rose petals and beautiful flowers from In Bloom Florist, and he didn’t forget the champagne and sour patch kids (our favorite candy). We ended the night at our favorite restaurant, Hillstone in Winter Park.

What was your wedding inspiration? (think decor, overall theme and feel of the day, etc)
We wanted to keep it simple, and focus on what the day meant to us and our family. The Alfond Inn was such a beautiful venue, it didn’t need much help in the decor department. We stuck to a few small details that we felt would add the most to our special day, and didn’t get caught up with all the extra “fluff”. Our main priority was to capture the day with beautiful photographs (that we are so excited to see) and celebrate the day with amazing music, and Our DJ Rocks, did not disappoint! It was exactly what Tyler and I wanted.

What was your favorite design element of your wedding?
One of our favorites was our homemade guestbook. We decided to make it ourselves since we couldn’t find anything that spoke to us. Our guestbook was made from wood that Tyler and I put together and stained. We had maps of the UK and Florida to represent where Tyler and I are both from. It was so personal to us, and it meant more because we made it together. It turned out great, with all our guest’s signatures, something that we will hang in our new home and cherish.

Describe some of your favorite wedding details and how you came up with them.
Our guestbook (same as above) and our play list for the ceremony/walking down the aisle. We chose songs from our favorite movie, About Time. We loved that we walked down the aisle to something different and unexpected. II Mondo, by Jimmy Fontana, is a song that means something to us, and has a special place in our hearts. It was perfect and made us both relax and laugh through the nerves. We made that moment about us and what we wanted, and it was so special.

What was the most memorable moment of your wedding day?
There are so many, but our front runner has to be our First Look. Seeing each other for the first time, having that moment together, just us, is something we are so happy we decided to do, so special to have that moment caught on camera :).

Please describe your cake (if any):
Sprinkles made our cake. We kept it simple, with variations of white patterns for the three tiers, with some gold trim and our “Mr. & Mrs. Sears” cake topper. Simple but elegant and delicious.

Can you please list your vendors:
KV Photography, Sprinkles Custom Cakes, Our DJ Rocks (Gaby), Beauty Bullies (Summer Posey) – Hair & Makeup, In Bloom Florist, Ana Zamudio – Day of Coordinator.

Any advice for those planning their wedding now?
Don’t get lost in the planning!! Remember the most important thing, each other, the rest will fall into place, and if it doesn’t, you still have each other!.

What was your biggest surprise on your wedding day?
Tyler’s dancing skills when I was walking down the aisle towards him 🙂 Something that made me smile, he’s such a goober, a quality I love about him. He always knows how to make me relax and put a smile on my face!

What one moment will last with you both forever?
It’s hard to pick just one moment, the whole day was so special to us. We loved every second of it.

Which moment are you the most excited to see in photos?
The First Look and Ceremony. Two very special moments for us, so excited to re-live those memories together.

What song did you walk down the aisle to?
II Mondo, Jimmy Fontana

What song played for your first dance?
Let It Be Me, Ray LaMontagne

What are you most looking forward to as a married couple?
Officially being Mr. & Mrs. Sears, and continuing to make memories together as husband and wife.

What did you like the most about working with KV Photography?
Tyler and I are not the most comfortable in front of the camera, in fact we typically avoid photos for that reason. You both made it easy and fun for us, both for our engagement photos and on our wedding day. We love your chemistry together, and how you capture those special moments, we couldn’t have asked for a better team. Thank you again, so much!
