  1.     How did you both meet?

We worked together for 18 months without having a conversation. After I put in my resignation our mutual friend introduced us at my going away happy hour. The rest is history!

2.      How did your husband propose?

His family and my family were all at my parent’s house for Christmas Eve 2016. Once everyone was done opening their gifts, my husband got up and said he had one last gift to give out. He called me to the front of the room and got down on one knee. It was very sweet and a total surprise!

 3.      What was your wedding inspiration? (think decor, overall theme and feel of the day, etc)

I wanted to play along with the charm of Bella Collina. It didn’t need much décor but I wanted to keep the classic romantic feel with the hanging amaranthus and pull in the burgundy tones for a winter wedding tone.

4.      What was your favorite design element of your wedding?

The floral arrangement hanging on the chandelier in the atrium was gorgeous!.

5.      Describe some of your favorite wedding details and how you came up with them.
I think my favorite “creative” detail was the gold cows and fish we had displayed on the place settings for the meal choices. I just bought small plastic toys and spray painted them gold. I thought it was a creative, inexpensive personal touch!.

6.      What was the most memorable moment of your wedding day?

It’s truly hard to name just one. My husband is probably the least emotional person I have met. And when I saw him for the first time walking down the aisle I saw how he got teary eyed and overcome with emotion. It was truly unforgettable!.

7.      Please describe your cake (if any):
Our cake was a wedding gift from our friend Clare Otto. She owns a bakery in Orlando called Sugar Divas Cakery. It was absolutely perfect! Everyone was obsessed with how delicious it was. I think my cousin had 7 slices! Haha. It was a three-tier white textured buttercream cake. The bottom tier was red velvet and the top two were raspberry amaretto. It was so yummy! The cake topper was a silhouette of a bride and groom with a cat. We had to incorporate our precious cat Leonard somehow.

8.      Can you please list your vendors:
KV Photography, All in White Films (videographer), Blush by Brandee Gaar (wedding planner), Bay Kings Band, In Bloom Florist, Danielle Sabatello (make-up artist), LeJeune Artistry (hair), Sensational Ceremonies (officiant), Get Lit Productions (lighting), VIP Wedding Transportation, Sugar Divas Cakery.

  1.     Any advice for those planning their wedding now?

Just enjoy the ride! It goes so quickly. Don’t overthink the small things and don’t stress about the things you can’t control. It all comes together in the end. But one thing people don’t do a lot of the time that they wish they would have is hire a “day of” wedding planner. I wanted to plan everything myself but have someone to coordinate deliveries, etc. on the actual wedding day. My wedding planner Ali Watkins with Blush really helped everything go off without a hitch! I couldn’t have done it without her.

10.  What was your biggest surprise on your wedding day?
I was surprised at how calm I was and how beautiful everything turned out. I wouldn’t have changed a thing!

  1. What one moment will last with you both forever?

Just seeing our closest friends and family all together. It was absolutely perfect! We’ve never seen our parents so happy. It’s something we will never forget!.

12.  Which moment are you the most excited to see in photos?

We can’t wait to see all of the candid photos and the décor we weren’t able to see on the actual wedding day. I put a lot of thought and time into signs and pictures so I hope they turned out as well as they looked in my mind!.

13.  What song did you walk down the aisle to?

Canon in D

14.  What song played for your first dance?

Say You Won’t Let Go by James Arthur. My husband is from London so I wanted an English musician. My husband actually chose the song. It really spoke to him. My cousin is a musician in Tennessee and he performed the song for us. It was amazing!.

15.  What are you most looking forward to as a married couple?

Experiencing life together! We are truly each other’s best friend and can’t imagine spending forever with anyone else.

16.  What did you like the most about working with KV Photography?
What’s not to love?! We first met Ed and Val over FaceTime. We had interviewed a few photographers before them but just felt an instant connection with them. They are so easy to get along with and made us feel comfortable. My husband and I were very nervous about the engagement photo shoot as neither one of us are very comfortable in front of a camera. Ed and Val truly made it a wonderful experience. Val has an instant calming presence about her and Ed is hilarious!!! My husband was literally posing like a model by the end of the session. One of the MANY reasons we love our photos so much is because they show our true emotions. Every laugh and every look is real. There was no faking anything. We honestly can’t say enough about them. If you are planning a wedding you HAVE to work with KV Photography !
