Winter Park Engagement | Christina and Damon

It was a dark and stormy night. Brooklyn Winery was filled with flickering candles and balmy yellow lights. He was setting up the bar and she was polishing silverware not too far. It was her first shift on the BKW events team. She was wearing white Chuck’s, a plaid shirt and tight jeans. He still remembers the way she looked that night. Exotic features, big eyes, oh what a sight. Not lacking in confidence he asked her out quick. To impress a Portuguese princess he had to be slick. They went out on his birthday. She came with her friends. As the clock struck midnight the real party begins. He and three ladies left the Ace Hotel Lobby to go to Rebel nightclub where one of his groomsmen had a General Management jobby. They skipped the line and got a VIP table next to Funk Master Flex, he was the DJ that evening in control of the decks.   Drinks were flowing, the Caribbean crowd was growing, dancing with each other ultimately unknowing a wild night that ended with a kiss would spark the desire for marital bliss.

They dated off and on for over a year. At a friends wedding on Fire Island they made their intentions for one another clear. Now boyfriend and girlfriend living in Brooklyn and Queens. Falling for each other in the city of dreams. Two steps forward and two steps back. A year into their relationship her bags were packed. She moved into his place with intentions of soon leaving the Big Apple’s rat race. New Year’s morning 2014 was the date that the NYC fashion designer followed the Floridian in a Uhaul to the sunshine state. They squatted with his mom and it wasn’t before long they both found work and were moving on. With the help of his mom an investment house was purchased for a live in fixerup flip. She navigated his wobbly stairs, half finished tiles but never did slip. Sometime later the project was complete and they purchased their first home a couple miles down the street. The first weekend in the new house her parents flew down, they worked hard on vacation and gifted them with home goods from all over town.

Now settled in their newest chapter begins. Three years together give or take on the date, his five year plan was up for debate. He knew at this point this princess wouldn’t wait. On the eve of her birthday he got down on one knee and on a dock at sunset she became his bride to be. Oil and water, ying and yang. Days spent living in harmony and driving each other insane. They stay committed through sunshine and rain.

She styles brides he stays busy with art. They long for the moments that don’t keep them apart. They love each other dearly and spoil their cat. When you meet Leonardo please understand he is fluffy not fat!
